The Washington Wild Things, playing out of Washington, Pennsylvania in the independent Frontier League, have extended a free agent contract offer to career MLB home run record holder, Barry Bonds.
The deal is rumoured to be worth a league-maximum $1200 per month and include a 50-50 share of Bonds/Wild Things merchanise sales. General Manager Ross Vecchio, on the FAN 590 this morning, also guaranteed the slugger a king-sized single room for all road games and said that local potential billets were already requesting that Bonds stay with them for home games.
Bonds has not issued a statement, so I'm going to assume he's currently mulling over the offer.
